I've got a major job changing coming up - not really a job change but a location and team change. It's been a bit difficult for me to wrap my head around and just when I think I can't do it, I hear an uplifting message that (I feel like) was meant just for me.
We were at church yesterday and the speaker gave a message on "Unstoppable People". While I didn't think this applied to me originally, as he went on the speaker told the story of Joshua in the Old Testament. He then gave three things that were needed to be successful: Make plans; Stay in the word; Go forth with unstoppable courage. The verse that correlated with the third thing was Joshua 1:9 (The Message): "Haven't I commanded you? Strength! Courage! Don't be timid-don't get discouraged. God, your God, is with you every step you take." This stopped me in my tracks. I seriously felt like the man upstairs was sitting there saying, "Hint hint, Wendy." So often I forget that have the God of the Universe on my side. The same God that separated the heavens from the earth, that spoke darkness into light, loves me. Little ole, ordinary me. And he's on my side.
What a remarkable revelation!
So wherever you're at today and whatever you're going through remember you are not alone. Go confidently and be courageous. You have nothing to fear!
