life according to my iPhone photos | March 2012

It's been the hottest March on record. And I loved every minute of it.

Oh and I got a new job. I'm now the Social Media Director at liquidfish. It is a creative agency in Bricktown and I seriously love it. I feel like this is exactly where God wants me and I am so grateful for the opportunity, although I do miss my friends at OPUBCO.

Anyway, here's a recap of March.

Last day at Clear Channel Radio. Here I am with my friends Joe Friday & Yeager.
This was during my last week at OPUBCO. I was trying to prove to Micala that I'm more patriotic. "USA! USA! USA!" I chanted while walking around the office. I'm sure that place misses me.
My and my buddy Kandyce were quite impressed with Freebird's thermostat.
My boys. Isn't my husband the hottest?
The card and cupcake my friends from OPUBCO gave me on my last day. AWWWW.
The Beerarita at Libby's Cafe in Goldsby. So stinkin' good.
Just about the cutest boy on the planet.
 Funny faces.
Cannen's favorite place to be is outside.
Cannen's Grandpa came to visit and put him to sleep...on the floor. Isn't that precious?
The latest craze is the "Draw Something" app. Can you guess what Rhonda was trying to get me to guess here? Correct guesser gets $2. (Micala, you are not eligible.)
This is the view out of my new office. Love being in Bricktown!
The clouds on this day were endless.
Pops & Cannen enjoying the lovely weather.

So happy he can hardly stand it.
 Reading.
 Watching Dad do yardwork.
Our home. I love it.

life according to my iPhone photos | January & February 2012

Here's the latest...

Taylor is a cheerleader. I'm so proud.
 Lots of laughs.
Five Guys Burgers is our new favorite.
 Silly kid.
My Valentine's date.
Look at this precious kid. My heart explodes.
I got this from Cannen's daycare. He has his moments...
This is one of my favorite pictures.

Becca and I went to IKEA. It was basically heaven.
IKEA. Go.
 IKEA warehouse. A tad overwhelming.

This is the Flying Saucer Draught Emporium in Addison, Texas. Pretty much awesome.
 We laugh. A lot.
Ready to party. Or, just go to dinner. Whatever.
 Me and Boomer. We're tight.
Isn't Oklahoma gorgeous?

and here's how i know i'm old

My parents surprised Kyle and me with a new
Shark vacuum and steam mop. When I opened the large, discreet
cardboard box and saw it's contents, I jumped up and down.
I think I might have cried.
This is the most exciting thing to happen to me in awhile.
Which makes me think I'm getting old.
Oh well.
Thanks Mom & Dad.

life according to my iPhone photos | December 2011

I'm not the most consistent blogger on the planet - and I'm okay with that. To start the New Year I decided to, at the very least, share pictures that I've taken with my iPhone. Because let's be honest, I don't go anywhere without it. I thought this could be fun.

Here are some pictures from last month. See you soon.

Free tickets to Trans Siberian Orchestra? Yes please.
Bath time is the best.
New job. New view.
Norman Police Department Christmas Party = Evening without the kid.
I planked. So I though, why not do some shELFing? This was with my buddies at 101.9 The Twister.
The kid loves books. He's much like his Mama.
Gorgeous sunset in Sentinel, OK, on Christmas Eve. Let's move.
Finally ate at Tucker's Onion Burgers on 23rd. Delish.
Love eternal.

so we had an earthquake

On Saturday morning shortly after 2 a.m., Oklahoma had an earthquake. I did not feel the earthquake and felt like I really missed out on something. I complained to friends and family. I complained via Twitter. I complained to strangers. I said, "I WANNA FEEL AN EARTHQUAKE!".

Well, the ole adage, "Be careful what you wish for" became a truth in my life when later that day, at approximately 11:38 p.m. Oklahoma had the largest and strongest earthquake in the state's history, a whopping 5.6 on the Richter scale.

Kyle and I sat in the living room, wide-eyed while our entire house shook. "EARTHQUAKE!" he yelled as he took off for Cannen's room, taking down the picture that hangs over his bed. I jumped up and started walking around. In circles. Not quite knowing what to do. "EARTHQUAKE!" I yelled, to no one in particular. "We're having a freaking earthquake!" I said to myself. Then I prayed. Then I went outside to see if there was still an outside. Then I came back inside and sat down. Then I kept feeling little tremors. Then I freaked out.

I take it back. I never, ever want to feel an earthquake. Well, never again anyway.

Wheel Wishes

I’m an avid Wheel of Fortune fan. I never miss an episode. And no, I’m not 75.

If I do happen to miss an episode I don’t fret. Know why? Because I have my DVR to record the show. In HD.

So, it’s probably no surprise I want to go on the show. I need to be on that show. In preparation for my fictitious TV appearance, I play Wheel of Fortune on my iPhone. Daily.

I also got Kyle addicted to the game.

Lots of times when we’re in bed but don’t want to sleep…what do we do? No, not that, silly.

We play Wheel!

He’s not very good, bless his heart.

For instance one time he thought the puzzle was "Albert Einstein" but it was actually "Corporate Espionage". Good one, Kyle.

Anyway, Wheel rocks. Like, totally.

Valentine's Day. {blech}

I'm really not a fan. I'm just not.

Calm down. I'm not heartless. I love love. Who doesn't? It's one of the greatest things in this life. But V-Day just doesn't do it for me.

Anyway, in the spirit of Valentine's Day, Sean & Mandy on Air1 radio gave this marriage & relationship tip the other day and it totally resonated with me.

::Demonstrate love::

It's so easy.

And so completely necessary.

I’m Not Narcissistic, Just Bored

Sometimes when it’s just me and Cannen at the house and he falls asleep in his swing and I don't want to clean or cook or fold laundry or read or watch TV...I get bored.

So I take pictures of myself.

Then he'll wake up so I take pictures of him.

And of us together.
